How do you calculate the crotch depth of my pants without me having to sit in a chair?
The human body has strong fixed ratios (Standard Anatomical Ratios). The seat height (crotch depth) is a calculable ratio of the crotch and the curvature of the back. However, for truly unusual statures (e.g. extremely long trunk or ultra-sloping buttocks), a sling adjustment will always be recommended, although we fall just short of 93%.
Are your sleeves compensated for "strong" arms?
Yes. In the traditional patternmaking method, enlarging the armhole often involves destroying the shoulder. Our motor specifically manages the circumference of the strong arm (Upper Arm / Bicep Girth). If the sleeve cap does not pass mathematically, the algorithm automatically lowers the armhole to ensure a healthy range of motion, without mechanically touching the shoulder line.
Do I need to have ALL of these measurements (20+) before I start?
Absolutely not. DraftMySize uses an Interpolation model. On the simple basis of your Height, Chest, Waist and Pelvis, the algorithm "deduces" the rest of your skeleton based on thousands of pre-calculated morpho-sets. This is a fantastic starting point (a so-called "virtual clone"), you are then free to manually "Override" the shoulder length if, for example, yours is asymmetrical!
Can I move my chest clip without distorting the volume (Dart Manipulation)?
The gripper volume is a trigonometric constant in our engine. Once the "Bust Radius" is calculated, the algorithm allows you to rotate this clamp anywhere around the Apex. Whether you choose a side seam dart (French Dart), a shoulder or waist dart, the 3D volume rendered by the fabric will remainstrictly mathematically identical.
How do you manage fabric stretch (Stretch/Elastane)?
This is where comes inNegative Ease. I am very arched (Swayback), what does the algorithm do?
On an arched back or a prominent buttocks, the rear waist line tends to gape. The engine captures this profile via the "Hip Depth vs Back Length" ratio. As a result, it will tilt the Center Back Seam Angle with an angular offset and subtly deepen the pelvic curve, allowing the belt to conform to your natural lordosis without requiring manual slash-and-spread Swayback adjustment.
